Shaft Seals for Tidal Stream Turbines
The SUPREME TG is especially developed for tidal stream turbines. Tidal turbines are deployed in deep water and have to withstand a harsh environment. SUPREME TG seals effectively prevent water from coming into the turbine and optimize the mean time between maintenance to 5 years. The SUPREME TG is based on a modular sealing concept, making it possible to create the best possible solution for each individual tidal turbine concept. Consistent with its sustainable character, the seal uses fully bio-degradable grease lubrication.
