The LIQUIDYNE 3-stage Vacuum design is applied in pumps that utilize a vacuum system to fill the pump. It can hold a water column up to 8 meters in stand-still situation of the pump. In stand-still situation, the vacuum module prevents air-leakage through the seal into the pump, if the pressure inside the pump is lower than atmospheric level.
The LIQUIDYNE 3-stage Vacuum:
• Holds a water column up to 8 meters in stand-still situation,
• reduces the water pressure to atmospheric level and
• seals the pump.
The LIQUIDYNE’s condition can be monitored at any time, which has three benefits (1) it enhances grip on the maintenance process, (2) avoids sudden pump failure and (3) maximizes Mean Time Between Maintenance (MTBM).
Briefly explained, the LIQUIDYNE uses the lubricating water discharge flow as an indicator of the remaining lifetime. If this discharge flow is at 20% of the initial flow (flow at start-up), maintenance needs to take place. Plotting the decrease in flow allows users to predict the remaining lifetime of the seal.
