LIQUIDYNE Pump Shaft Seal System

Independently Operating Modules, Predictable Lifetime, Reliable

Initially designed to fit heavy duty dredging pumps, the fully-developed LIQUIDYNE Pump Shaft Seal System came to market in the 1980s to address industrial and dredging application needs. Known for independently operating modules, a predictable lifetime, and superior reliability, the LIQUIDYNE Pump Shaft Seal System, fulfills three functions.

(1)    Dirt-retaining or vacuum

(2)    Pressure-reducing

(3)    Sealing

2-Stage LIQUIDYNE

When process liquid contains very few abrasive particles or dirt, no separate rinse system is required and the dirt barrier module becomes unnecessary. In this situation, the process liquid directly flows through the pressure-reducing module. Typical examples of applications for the 2-stage LIQUIDYNE system include water pumps for cooling, ditches, river water pumps, jet water pumps, drinking water systems and fire extinguishers.

3-stage LIQUIDYNE with vacuum module

When a situation requires a vacuum to pump a liquid upwards, the LIQUIDYNE 3-Stage model comes equipped with an extra seal. The lip seal placed in a reverse direction, this design is quite similar to the pressure-reducing design and prevents air from flowing through the pump. If the pressure in the pump exceeds the atmospheric pressure, liquid from the pump flows underneath the vacuum seal and through the pressure-reducing module. Typical examples of applications for the 3-Stage Vacuum LIQUIDYNE include cooling water pumps in the process industry.
